Choose the target experience
Start with devices, software and the way users will interact. The right level of detail depends on viewing distance, lighting and the number of visible objects.
Budget geometry and textures
Agree performance limits with the implementation team. Simplify geometry where it does not affect the intended view, and choose texture resolution deliberately.
Check scale and materials
Consistent real-world scale, pivots and material behavior help assets integrate predictably. Test exports in the intended runtime rather than only in modeling software.
Validate on a device
Review loading, interaction and appearance on representative hardware. A desktop preview alone cannot show every performance constraint of a mobile or headset experience.
